2EZ Contest Question #11
CULINARY MATH TIME! This stuff is pretty easy so don't sweat it.
An 11-lb. pork loin costs $2.92 per pound. A 10-ounce tenderloin is removed from the loin, and 1 lb. 6 ounces are lost through boning and trimming. How much does a 4-ounce chop cost? Round up to the nearest cent.
PM to me and I will forward the top 6 in order to Tom. GOGOGO

Re: 2EZ Contest Question #11
Is there a better way to word the question? Otherwise, I don't think I will ever get it right.
Re: 2EZ Contest Question #11
With the top 6 rule being in affect, I will let anyone send answers to a question as long as they put the question number in the PM title.
Re: 2EZ Contest Question #11
I didn't get any correct answers. :/
16oz = 1lb
1lb 6 oz + 10 oz = 2lb
11 (you started with) - 2 (the total amount lost) = 9 (new whole weight).
11 x 2.92 = 32.12 (cost of the whole pork loin before trimming) / 9 = $3.568 / 16 (to get the cost per ounce) = $.223 x 4 = $.892 for a 4 oz chop

Bye.

The odd wording was half the problem. If you would rather have questions that inflate pyrots ego then be my guest. >.>
